    Just 10 miles outside of Washington, D.C., McLean, Virginia is located in northern Fairfax County. McLean is known for housing many diplomats, businessmen, members of Congress, and high-ranking government officials partially due to its proximity to Washington, D.C. and the Central Intelligence Agency. McLean hosts approximately 48,000 residences sprawled from notable neighborhoods such as Chesterbrook, Potomac Hills, and McLean Manor.

    Housing/Living
    McLean is the best city for young families and commuters. It is known as “one of the best places to raise a family” and has one of the “best public school systems in the state”. Fairfax County is also known for having one of the best public school systems on the east coast for grades K-12.

    Attractions
    McLean is able to hold their own when it comes to shopping, dining, and other various attractions. While D.C. does assist in providing entertainment, families will rarely have trouble finding things to do within the city’s limits regardless of the season. McLean is known for housing a plethora of shopping and dining from Fair Oaks and Tysons Corner malls to small business boutiques and eateries. Also located in McLean is Clemyjontri Park, a 2-acre playground for children of all ages and abilities.

    Travel

    McLean is also known for easy commutes with connections to major highways, interstates, and public transportation. The town is located right off of Interstate 495, Georgetown Pike, Dulles Toll Road, George Washington Memorial Parkway, and Dolley Madison Boulevard. If you’re in need of public transportation, McLean is also home to their own Metro stop (McLean) right off of the Silver line and access to multiple Metrobus stops. Two major airports are also located right around the corner with Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) being an 11 mile drive and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) just 16 miles away.
