Andrew C. DiPaola is a Settlement Attorney with New World Title & Escrow in McLean, VA. He is responsible for reviewing sales contracts, curing title defects, managing the closing process and conducting real estate settlements. He teaches a wide variety of continuing education classes to Realtors in both Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Mr. DiPaola started his legal career practicing civil litigation in the District of Columbia. He has been practicing real estate law and handling settlements for the last five years. Prior to working at New World Title, Mr. DiPaola was the Managing Attorney of the Vienna, Virginia office of MBH Settlement Group. He was previously employed at Kase & Associates, P.C., as Counsel to Champion Title & Settlements. He gained experience conducting residential and commercial real estate closings and preparing and reviewing legal documents for real estate transactions.
Mr. DiPaola is a graduate of Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in History and he received his Juris Doctor from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. He is admitted to the Virginia State Bar and the District of Columbia Bar.
Mr. DiPaola was born in raised in Vienna, VA and is currently a resident of the District of Columbia. He lives on Capitol Hill with his wife Lauren, his sons Benjamin and Edward, and his dog. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and golfing.
As a settlement agent, New World Title & Escrow is charged with the duty of carrying out the terms of a real estate transaction according to the agreements between the seller and purchaser, and/or the borrower and lender. We compile the relevant information and documents, accept and retain in trust monies from lenders and/or purchasers, conduct a meeting of the parties (i.e. “the settlement”) where legal documents are reviewed and executed, record documents with the appropriate jurisdiction, and distribute monies entrusted to us as required. In doing this, we owe a duty of trust to all participants in the transaction. As such, we maintain surety bonds and insurance as required by law.
